If you're a fan of free jazz, then Ornette Coleman and John Coltrane's Interstellar Space are not new terms to you.  In my meetings with musicians and listeners, I've found that the conversations about free jazz are just as integral to finding my own interpretations as my own listening. 

This group is also for fans of what is commonly called "Nü Jazz," which describes artists and groups who play on the jam band circuit.  Examples include The Benevento-Russo Duo, MMW, Jacob Fred Jazz Odyssey, Garage a Trois, Lymbyc Systym. 

Some may argue that these bands aren't "free jazz" because you can dance to their music.  To those few, I ask you, "Hey, are you trying to define what is supposedly free of form and definition?"
